The Civil Triangle for Community Philanthropy project was launched at the end of last year, and its goals include bringing the Run for IT! event to Miercurea Ciuc and Gheorgheni.

Run for IT! is a fundraising sports event in which local NGOs/initiative groups can participate in order to promote and raise funds for their community initiatives.

In mid-May, the first Run for IT! in Miercurea Ciuc expired and the results speak for themselves. 21 organisations registered and nearly 500 ambassadors ran/cycled for local projects in May.

Now it is the turn of Gheorgheni. The programme will start in July, when registration will be open, while the event will culminate in a joint run/cycle on 25 September. The organizing team from Gheorgheni is currently preparing for the start.

This year will be the 11th time that we organise the event in Odorheiu Secuiesc, which has been a great success year after year, and we hope that this year many local community projects can be realised with the help of Run for IT!
